How much does changing a water tap cost

Before

While I enjoy DIY, there are some occasions I need to call for backup for urgent client cases. This time I asked my regular plumber to attend to a simple pipe change and he charged me RM 50 for the whole thing including the new pipe. Yes, that's how much it costs just to call me to attend to a simple thing, full stop.

I still recall years ago at the mechanic workshop, one of the customers was complaining to the mechanic about how expensive the charges were. The mechanic coolly ask the customer back "Do you ask the doctor why the bills are so expensive ?" and the customer then kept quiet already.

Take note Persiaran APEC will be closed for 20days from May 15

The main road will be closed for work on MRT (Mass Rail Transit). Short term pain for long term good. Most likely MRT team is going to be hoisting up the section of the rail track that passes across the road and attach it.

Just info, there are 2 future MRT stations near Cyberjaya. 1 is opposite Lim Kok Wing University where MRCB is building some sort of huge city and another is at Putrajaya Central station.

Bazaar Ramadan at Precinct 3 Putrajaya

In this month of Ramadan, I decided to take a trip to nearby Putrajaya to check out their Ramadhan Bazaar at Precinct 3.

While at Cyberjaya there is a Ramadan bazaar, near the Shell petrol station but the size of it is quite small. I also heard previously the bazaar at Precinct 3 bazaar is at a much bigger scale.

To be frank , when I arrived at the Precinct bazaar, it wasn't as big as I imagined, around probably around half a football field.

The bigger queues were at the Botak Mango drink stall and Keramat murtabak.

I bought grilled lamb RM18 per box and ayam golek (rotisserie chicken) RM20.

Interestingly, although it is a once a year affair, the location of the bazaar can be located on Waze and Google Maps.

There's a promotion going on for mineral water (brand is Furqan). RM1 for a 1.5 litre bottle, make sure the cap is blue which means the water inside is from a treated source, else it's just treated water.

Testing out Cyberjaya Co Working Space LaunchPad

Today decided to test out launchpad coworking space at Cyberjaya since I had to attend a tech virtual conference.

Pros :
RM30 day hot desk day pass is quite affordable.
Plenty of parking around (because is expensive)

Cons :
Parking is quite expensive. (RM2 per house)
Network was pretty slow. (tested only 5Mbps)
Does not accept payments for e wallets.
Need to book online.
Sparse pantry.
A bit noisy as some of attendees were very noisy.

The most surprising takeaway from working in a coworking space is that it's quite noisy, as noisy as Cybercafe. It is recommended to take a Grab ehailing taxi here because parking is also a bit costly. If you need a no frills place to work, it his the place to be. One thing I notice also at around 5PM-6PM everyone leaves already, and I thought entrepreneurs,startups,freelancers suppose to hustle till they drop isn't such a real thing.

Xiang Cuisine at Serdang Perdana 香菜馆 - Non halal - super spicy hot pot sze chuan style

This restaurant is not exactly at DeCentrum but it's near. It's opposite South City Mall, Seri Kembangan, around 15mins drive from DeCentrum area.

I've been dining here for few times already but never got a chance to test out their hot pot. Previously me and my friend all ordered dishes only.

Ordering quite straightforward, we were given a list of items for the hotpot. Anything we want can just tick on it to show that we want it. The base soup cost RM 20.

One tip on ordering is to request for garlic, cilantro and sesame oil (its free but only available upon request).

Warning, the red colored soup is extremely spicy. The soup is not for drinking instead it is more for dipping in the ingredients. My friend accidentally drink it and was sneezing and coughing for 10 mins before recovered.

The extreme spiciness comes from the special fire pepper used from SzeChuan.

They have got 2 kinds of hot pot, the Ying Yang Hot pot and the Chong Qing Hot pot. We opted for the Ying Yang hot pot because one of us could not take food that was too spicy.
